scholarship fund

Director, Leny Prado, VP Administration, Andrew Hoad, Executive Vice President
of Asian Terminals, Inc, Mitch Andaya, VP – Academics, and Jose Morales,
iAcademy Chief Operating Officer.
Asian
Terminals Incorporated (ATI) donated a sum of 3.213 million pesos to support
the iACADEMY scholarship program.
Mitch
M. Andaya, Vice President of Academics and Dean of the School of Computing,
received the check on behalf of iACADEMY from ATI Executive Vice President
Andrew Hoad on February 5, 2014.
“This
donation goes a long way in supporting our goals to increase the enrollment in
our Software Engineering, Game Development and Animation programs,” said
Andaya. “iACADEMY Software Engineers are some of the most sought after
programmers in the market today, and with this donation we hope to bring the best available freshmen and transferees into
iACADEMY regardless of their ability to pay.”
“We are
very grateful to ATI for this generous donation, and we hope that this is just
the beginning of a long and fruitful partnership. ATI is a forward –looking organization that
has come to support our goal to double the number of software engineers, this
is an occupation where supply has never
been able to meet demand, and with the direction towards content creation, and
migration to the mobile platform, we can expect the demand for software
engineers to continue to outpace supply.” said iACADEMY Chief Operating Officer
Jose Morales.
This
donation provided for future iACADEMY students is just one of ATI’s many Corporate
Social Responsibility initiatives, which
work to ensure a brighter future for its surrounding communities. ATI operates
and manages the Manila South Harbor, the port of Batangas, and the port of
General Santos.
iACADEMY
is one of the country’s leading schools in the fields of Design and Computing.
The iACADEMY philosophy is to prepare students for the needs of the industry
and fill the gap in the market through programs designed and curated by
industry practitioners and experienced members of the academic community.
