iACADEMY Students Host A Concert For A Cause
For iACADEMY students, a little bit does indeed go a long way—especially when it comes to saving the environment.
Entitled OPLAN BNB, students of iACADEMY hosted a concert with the intent of contributing towards the global effort to save the environment.
“We want to make it easy for the students and the school community to become part of this concerted effort to preserve the environment; and it starts with something as simple as providing the school with ample garbage bins for segregation,” explains Mitch Andaya, iACADEMY’s Vice President for Academics. “It’s simple, yet it will go a long way towards preventing littering, encouraging people to recycle and generally educating people on the simple things they can do to make a difference for our environment.”
With this goal in mind, the students tapped into their inherent musical talents to perform alongside two of this country’s most prominent rock acts—Lions and Acrobats and Mayonnaise.
“We really love performing for a good cause, we’ve done Haiyan shows, we’ve played for Amnesty International and other advocacy oriented orgs and it’s a great honor to add another show of the sort in our resume. Also, it was a humbling experience from our end to perform in a really cool college that have people who are just like us and get that kind of response,” shares Lorenzo Rapadas of Lions and Acrobats.
The student-led initiative addresses the need for today’s youth to be more
involved and proactive towards environmental concerns.
“Through this simple effort, we hope to encourage fellow students to be more mindful about the little things they can do to help create a bigger impact for nature,” ends Trixie Sanchez, class lead coordinator.

The 3 social media savy personalities shared their knowledge about the emerging power of Social Media in the country today. I might say that I want to achieve and I want to be like them. These guys are not just doing their jobs, but they are Practitioners who really love and have the drive and passion to do what they are doing. I really love the work environment when you love what you do.
As of now, I am currently taking up BSBA Marketing Management and after my graduation I really want to do Online Marketing, yes I want to be a Online Marketer. And I want to learn more and explore more, so I think I can see myself 3-6 years from now enrolled in iAcademy's School of Continuing Studies. iAcademy's School of Continuing Studies was launched last year and offers a lot of courses for the working professionals in the heart of Makati.
Yep! You read it right! In the heart of Makati, iAcademy is located in Makati Ave. across Ayala Triangle and near Paseo De Roxas. Having the comfort and convenience near your workplace. Courses related to Finance, Processing Improvements, Digital Marketing, Office Productivity, Communication Skills, I.T Programming, Print Design & Layout, Web Design & Development, Non-Linear Editing/Digital, Photography, Animation and even courses about Arts & Fashion awaits.

And I'm Renz De Vera for Heck Yeah!
Rush hour as my co-blogger and half-blood "claimed" brother Renz De Vera texted me that he was invited to a seminar about a social media summit. Though I was doubtful at first due to vague info that he provided, I still insisted to join him. After a long trip from MNL to MKT, we arrived at IAcademy where the summit took place.
(c) to the rightful owner
There, I met three great social media savvy experts who inspired me to start blogging as of now:
(TWO-THUMBS UP FOR THESE GREAT PEOPLE)
As they chit-chatted, presented, and shared their good vibes and knowledge throughout the whole program that ended 8:30 PM, we learned that knowledge and wisdom doesn't come from self-proclaimed experts. True knowledge comes from PRACTITIONERS that had tried, failed, and became successful because they learned from their mistakes, and one more thing: Most people fail because they fail to paint the future, THEIR OWN FUTURE, and the next generation.
One more thing, if you wanna try out something great and worth investing for this summer, enrolling at IAcademy is a great and wise investment for your crystal future. Try it, and you'll never regret any of it.
Since this is my first blog, I owe everything to those three people, especially to le "self-proclaimed" brother, to pursue and to start blogging as a part of my life.
I AM CHARLON TIU, PURSUING AND STARTING MY LIFE AS A BLOGGER AS OF 03/29/14. I will dedicate my gained-shared-and-stored knowledge to the next generation. TOUCH ONE HEART, INSPIRE ONE MIND, REPEAT. This is my key to my next blogs.
(CHARLON TIU & RENZ DE VERA) HECK YEAH BROTHERS. \M/
TO GOD BE THE GLORY.
HECK YEAH TO THAT. \M/

scholarship fund
Left

Director, Leny Prado, VP Administration, Andrew Hoad, Executive Vice President
of Asian Terminals, Inc, Mitch Andaya, VP – Academics, and Jose Morales,
iAcademy Chief Operating Officer.
Asian
Terminals Incorporated (ATI) donated a sum of 3.213 million pesos to support
the iACADEMY scholarship program.
Mitch
M. Andaya, Vice President of Academics and Dean of the School of Computing,
received the check on behalf of iACADEMY from ATI Executive Vice President
Andrew Hoad on February 5, 2014.
“This
donation goes a long way in supporting our goals to increase the enrollment in
our Software Engineering, Game Development and Animation programs,” said
Andaya. “iACADEMY Software Engineers are some of the most sought after
programmers in the market today, and with this donation we hope to bring the best available freshmen and transferees into
iACADEMY regardless of their ability to pay.”
“We are
very grateful to ATI for this generous donation, and we hope that this is just
the beginning of a long and fruitful partnership. ATI is a forward –looking organization that
has come to support our goal to double the number of software engineers, this
is an occupation where supply has never
been able to meet demand, and with the direction towards content creation, and
migration to the mobile platform, we can expect the demand for software
engineers to continue to outpace supply.” said iACADEMY Chief Operating Officer
Jose Morales.
This
donation provided for future iACADEMY students is just one of ATI’s many Corporate
Social Responsibility initiatives, which
work to ensure a brighter future for its surrounding communities. ATI operates
and manages the Manila South Harbor, the port of Batangas, and the port of
General Santos.
iACADEMY
is one of the country’s leading schools in the fields of Design and Computing.
The iACADEMY philosophy is to prepare students for the needs of the industry
and fill the gap in the market through programs designed and curated by
industry practitioners and experienced members of the academic community.
