Cinemajam, the first ever
outdoor movie marathon and music festival in the Philippines that was held on
november 30 2013 at the Globe Circuit Event Grounds Makati. The event was brought by Crizal Transitions, one of
the world’s leading Photochromic lens capable of adjusting to any lighting
condition. A little about Crizal
Transitions, its flagship brands of Essilor, the world’s leading
ophthalmic lens company, offers the best in Photochromic lens that adjusts
itself to any light condition. However, as part of their collective aim to
educate the younger generation about the importance of caring for one’s vision,
they have put together an exciting way to not only enlighten, but also to reach
out to people. Aside from an electrifying roster of bands and well-loved
movies, there will be a free vision screening in the Optical Village section to
check the visitor’s eyesight. On top of that, the proceeds from the ticket
sales also go to World Vision Foundation.

wasn’t that excited plus we were late because my
co-blogger, Renz De Vera, woke up late. I didn’t expect it to be a fun
experience, but since Bamboo, Itchyworms,Callalily, Moonstar 88 my favorite
local bands would be performing I decided to push thru with it. Gracenote also
performed too but since we were late we hadn’t got the opportunity to watch
them.
As we entered the area we
were each given our own loot bag that had a led fan, a blue sando shirt that
has a crizal transition print in the middle, a blue USB watch, a blue baller
with a crizal transition logo, and coupons that we used for the food carts. As
soon as we entered I noticed how they turned the place into like a theme park
with the kite flying, bungee jumping, skating rink and even a basketball court
were we shot some hoops. The VIP area was so cool with the all the scattered
bean bags were we sat. They really made the place comfortably cool that made
the guests feel like they are at home in their own living rooms watching those
well-loved movies and live performances by the local bands.
After the live performance
of ITCHYWORMS, there was a game where in you have to answer who the actor in
the movie is and I was able to answer it and won an original DVD of "RED 2”
and got to be in front of the camera live in the big screen which was indeed awesome.

After the game it was time
for the movie-show. The 1st movie was "LIMITLESS" starring Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro, who gets
hooked on an experimental drug that allows him to explore his full mental
abilities. Then the last movie was the “LOVE ACTUALLY", a romantic comedy
that will surely warm heats for its multi-dimensional look on what love is and
a little about Christmas.
After the movies, CALLALILY performed followed by BAMBOO which is the
most epic part because I got to see him up-close from the stage. Bamboo indeed
is a very good, actually legendary performer, really my idol. Lastly, after
Bamboo was DJ ACE RAMOS giving us those EDM that closed the night for the youngsters
who love partying.

I say it
was one the best outdoor movie-show and music festival jam of my life, Hoping
to attend CINEMAJAM2014 next year.
