HI! my name is Warren Chang, and i am Malaysian, and i am gonna celebrate the Philippines independence day at SM City Fairview. I had to wake up early because the flag raising ceremony that will be held around 8:30 a.m
All of the securities and SM workers lined up and there were children wearing scout uniforms. They were all preparing for the event.
The SM City Fairview prepared a short play about the history of the Philippines. The Philippine Revolution began in August 1896. In December 1897, the Pact of Biak-na-Bato, an agreement between the Spanish colonial government and the revolutionaries, created a truce between the parties. Under terms of this agreement, Emilio Aguinaldo and other revolutionary leaders went into exile in Hong Kong. Indeed i only know little of the history and culture of the Philippines,I can say i learned a lot from the short play. The culture of the Filipinos, it is indeed wonderful.
It was indeed a great experience to celebrate Indepence Day with the filipinos. I would like to thank SM City Fairview for inviting me to the event. It was indeed a successful event.
THANK YOU- Warren Chang
